A sudden wolverine encounter leaves Cici feeling faint - Thankfully, Gideon is there to cushion her fall and (once again) be her knight in shining armor.

Mica's heirloom is the dogtag necklace they wear, said to belong to an old pre-Emergence ancestor bearing the Sawyer family name. It's been taken good care of through the generations, which unfortunately makes it a target for many ravens looking to beautify their nests. Mica doesn't believe it actually belonged to an ancestor of theirs, but they do think its status as an ancient relic is interesting enough to be considered 'lucky'.

Marion, attempting to collect honey from a beehive, is instead swarmed by the bees... A honey-covered knife is not a very good weapon against a giant swarm of bees, but hey. Somehow he lost them while running back towards the Crossroads? Somehow?

The dock creaked with every uneasy step as Cassidy gently forced her legs over the edge, her bare feet pushing small ripples of waves outward. The day wasn't about fishing--not really anyway--though neither Copper or herself would ever come to acknowledge such a truth. Instead, the women sat in relative silence, using every miserable cast as an excuse of duty to help the curly haired mongrel get over her fear of the depths below. Maybe one day, they would return to the shore without a churning feeling in Cassidy's gut.

Gideon takes a break in the shade. While he does not know who has scoured the tally marks on the tree he feels an odd familiarity with it. Often stopping on his way back to Big Top after searching for supplies. Sometimes it's nice to have a moment of peace.

Between Pillar and Spark lies a meadow that blooms wildflowers in the thousands--a place of such beauty and wonder that it almost makes people forget the true dangers of the Hollow. People like Starling, who can't resist a quick nap under the bliss sun while out foraging.

Hunting is a cruel sport when practiced without reason, without the need to eat, to survive. When Starling hunts, it is not for them, but a sacrifice they make to aid in the survival of the rest of Bird's Nest. They began to honor the dead after their father's passing, sitting with them until their very last breath--thanking them for the life they would save with their own loss.

Cassidy and Copper had been on the Jackalope's trail for what felt like forever, scouring bushes and tall grass as it fled from the meadow and into the edge of the wilds--soon the forest would be dark and dangers would emerge from deeper within. The red wolf's piercing yellow gaze locked eyes with her companion, a look struck with warning and worry all the same. It was time to go... With or without another quarry.

A flock of geese sounded like the perfect opportunity for an easy hunt, but what Cassidy and Copper did not plan for was the chase that ensued upon disturbing the flock's nesting grounds. To say they got an earful would be putting it lightly.
